Police patrols stepped up after park damage

by isleofman.com 5th February 2019

Police say they’ll be stepping up patrols in Port Erin after ‘wilful’ damage was caused in Athol Park.

It’s after someone smashed a new noticeboard in the park over the weekend.

Officers say it has caused unnecessary cost for those who will now have to replace it.

In a statement on Facebook they say: "We will be monitoring this area closely and wish to take this opportunity to remind anyone who thinks there is anything to be gained from causing such petty damage to rethink their actions and the effect these can have on the ones who are then left to sort it out of their own pockets."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Headquarters.
