Volunteers needed for CAMRA Beer and Cider Festival

by isleofman.com 5th February 2019

More volunteers are needed to help run this year’s CAMRA Isle of Man Beer and Cider Festival.

It will take place between April 8th and 14th at the Villa Marina and feature more than 150 real ales, ciders, perries and fruit wines.

Tasks will include building the stillage racks for the beer casks, stacking the casks, installing cooling systems, dispensing the beers and ciders as well as clearing the site at the end.

Event organiser Roj Cave says: “Help is needed for all sessions but it’s stressed that previous experience is not necessary and volunteers are not expected to attend every session – only when they are available and it suits them.

"There is a great camaraderie amongst the established volunteer force and any newcomers will be welcomed with open arms."

All CAMRA members working at the festival are volunteers who give their time freely.

Those wishing to just volunteer to help run this year’s festival should contact staffing officer Julie Jones at staff@iombeerfestival.com.
