Motorists urged to slow down outside school

by isleofman.com 24th January 2019

Motorists are being warned to slow down outside a school in Douglas or risk facing a ?120 fine.

A temporary crossing patrol has been put in place on Woodbourne Road whilst roadworks are taking place.

It will operate between 8.30am and 9am and between 3.10pm and 3.40pm.

Police say motorists should be prepared to stop – failure to do so could result in a fixed penalty fine and three points on your driving licence.

They’ve also asked pedestrians to follow the patrol officer’s instructions, to be patient and wait until they indicate it is safe to cross.
