Manx Telecom Parish Walkers are already counting down the days to this year’s event.

Charity fundraisers, fitness fanatics, and elite racers are all clocking up the training miles ahead of the Island’s biggest mass participation sports event on June 22nd.

Sign-up before January 31st costs ?30. Manx Telecom mobile customers who enter before that date will receive an additional ?5 discount, thanks to the event’s title sponsor, which adds up to a ?15 saving on the full price of the entry fee.

From February 1st to March 31st the fee is ?35.

From April 1st until the final closing date on May 5th it is ?40.

There are Corporate Team and Overall Team categories, and a competition for younger walkers aged 18 to 21 completing the 32.5 miles to Peel.

The Corporate Team event is ideal to use as a team building exercise, a challenge to raise money for a company’s nominated charity this year, or a goal that colleagues can aim for to get fit or become more active.

The Corporate category is for teams with a minimum of two and a maximum of four walkers all of whom are bona fide employees.

Manx Telecom has been the Parish Walk’s title sponsor since 2012, but the company’s support for the event goes back to 2007 when it began sponsoring the official timing and results service.
