Island's unemployment rate increases

Unemployment on the Isle of Man has increased.

At the end of December there were 354 people out of work – an increase of 24 from November 2018.

It means the Island has an unemployment rate of 0.8 per cent.

Of those without work 70 per cent are men.

During December 446 job vacancies were notified to the Job Centre – 316 remained vacant at the end of the month.
