Three appointed to Steam Packet board

by isleofman.com 17th January 2019

Tynwald has given permission for three non-executive directors to join the board of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.

Philip Dearden, Captain Simon Pressley and David Oldfield will join for three years – there is also the option to renew for a further two years.

Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan says: “I am delighted these appointments have been approved and look forward to the new directors contributing to the success of the Steam Packet under government ownership.

“The successful candidates bring with them many years of experience in accountancy, shipping and the maritime industry and will be an asset to the company as it enters a new phase in its rich history.”
