Island's hospitality sector urged to aim high

by isleofman.com 5th March 2015

A new event designed to inspire and improve the Island's hospitality sector will take place in Douglas next month.
The Manx Hospitality Day has been organised by the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee as its inaugural event.
The theme is Excellence in Working Together, with the event billed 'a celebration of the Manx hospitality industry and its employees'.
Guest speaker is Jane Uquhart who runs a UK household staff recruitment agency - providing bespoke personnel for private homes, villas, yachts, jets and hotels.
Jane's presentation has the motivational title '7 Star Belief, 7 Star Service, 7 Star Isle of Man'.
The event will be held at the Palace Hotel from 1-5 pm on 16 April.
The Chamber says it aims to inspire those in visitor-facing roles to offer their clients outstanding service and for the industry to assess staff training needs.
