Police appeal for male who used "foul & abusive" language towards child

Police are looking to speak to a male who was seen in the vicinity of Shoprite, Onchan, with a young child at approximately 11.35am on Wednesday 13 August.  At this time the male has been heard to use foul and abusive language towards the child, who became distressed.  It is believed other people were in the area at this time who would have witnessed this. The male and child have then been seen to walk towards the direction of Kaighin’s Lane.  The male is described as being in his 50’s and of stocky build.
 
The male involved, or any witnesses to the incident, are urged to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
