Tax Agreement with Luxembourg comes into force

The Isle of Man’s Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital with Luxembourg entered into force on 5 August 2014.

The agreement was signed on 8 April 2013 in London between Eddie Teare MHK, the Isle of Man’s Treasury Minister, and Ms Beatrice Kirsch, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of Luxembourg.

The Isle of Man ratified the agreement at the May 2013 sitting of Tynwald, and the Chief Minister, Allan Bell MHK, informed Luxembourg that ratification had taken place.

The Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in London, has now confirmed that Luxembourg has completed its own ratification procedures.
