Flooding risk; Steam Packet delays

by isleofman.com 30th December 2013
After heavy overnight rain, which is expected to continue until lunchtime, there is a risk of localised flooding around the Island this morning (Monday).
There is standing water on the majority of the Island's roads.
Police are advising motorists to drive to the conditions.
Meanwhile, weather conditions have led to today’s (Monday) Steam Packet services being delayed.
This morning’s Heysham sailing was more than an hour late arriving in Douglas harbour.
The scheduled 8.45am sailing from Douglas to Heysham is now due to depart at 10am – although that is weather dependent.
This afternoon’s 2.15pm return may be slightly delayed as a result, although passengers are asked to check-in on time.
