The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has announced there will be additional sailings between the Isle of Man and Heysham following the cancellation of the crossing this morning (24th December).

This morning’s 08.45hrs departure from Douglas to Heysham, and the scheduled return at 14.15hrs, were cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

The Steam Packet Company has confirmed Ben-my-Chree will operate an additional sailing, leaving Douglas at 21.00hrs and returning from Heysham at 03.00hrs on Wednesday (25th December).

Passengers from the cancelled sailings will be transferred to the new times. Passengers who would like to make alternative arrangements are asked to contact the Steam Packet Company on 01624 661661.

Steam Packet Company Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: ‘We have decide to operate an additional return sailing between Douglas and Heysham to assist passengers affected by this morning’s cancellation and to ensure the continued movement of cargo.

‘The weather conditions of the past few days have presented some challenges to the travelling public and I would like to thank our customers for their ongoing understanding and patience.’
